Our Whitby clients wanted to breathe new life into their dated kitchen and have a bright, modern space for entertaining and for their growing family. We went in and completely gutted the room and removed a load bearing wall to improve flow, increase functionality and create a large, light filled space.
The kitchen now opens to their family room, which features new trim, flooring and a dual custom-built fireplace surround.
Recessed lighting was installed throughout, and solid painted maple cabinets accented by natural stone quartz countertops and backsplash brighten the once dark space. The new island contains plenty of storage and gives this family a great space for entertaining guests. Our friends at The Hollow Timber Company installed some amazing faux timber beams to complete this awesome project.
Finally, we finished off their main floor with an updated powder room, complete with wainscoting and capped their stairs with new treads, risers and balusters.
